Frequently Asked Questions

Listed below are important policies, procedures, and points of emphasis to provide a comprehensive understanding of the program. Our goal is to ensure a successful experience for you and your child.

Departure:

  • To limit the number of individuals in the school building, we have implemented a drive-thru pick-up procedure.
  • Please have proper ID ready when picking up your student.
  • Only individuals authorized on the registration form will be allowed to pick up the student.
  • Advanced written notice from the parent/guardian is required for anyone not listed on the registration form to pick up the student.

Discipline:

  • In the event of discipline problems, our staff will communicate with the child to address and rectify the situation.
  • If the child’s behavior does not improve, a parent/director meeting may be requested to explore further options.
  • If a child is unable to safely function within the group, for safety reasons, we may request the parent/guardian to withdraw the child from the program.
  • If a child is expelled from the program, the re-enrollment period is 1 year and is subject to evaluation.
  • Refunds will not be provided in the event of suspension or expulsion.
  • Ensuring safety, enjoyment, and respecting each child and staff are of utmost importance.

Injuries & Medication:

  • In case of injury or illness, an accident/incident report will be provided for your child, and parents will be notified.
  • If parents cannot be reached, a relative or friend will be notified.

Snacks & Meals:

  • Parents are responsible for providing lunch on teacher workdays.
  • We will provide healthy snacks, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred.

Payment options are available for your convenience. You can make payments in person at the main office located at 115 Lewis St. Gibsonville, NC. Additionally, we accept payments via Cash App or Venmo.

If you choose to make payment via check or money order, please ensure that you include the following details: your driver’s license number, phone number, and the name of your child.

Parents that are late picking up their child will be charged a late fee of $1 per minute per family. The late fee must be paid before your child can return. If you are consistently late, your child will be dropped from the program. The program closes at 7:00pm sharp.

There are no refunds or transferable options for Afterschool payments. *Payment information is subject to change

INCLEMENT WEATHER
If there is early release from school due to adverse weather conditions, the Afterschool Program will not operate. Please make sure you have a plan in place to pick your child up.

TAC DAY SNOW DAYS
TAC Day Snow Days operate when the children are out of school due to snow, the accumulation has stopped, and road conditions are clear enough for our families and staff to attend safely. Snow Days are held at 115 Lewis St. Gibsonville, NC. TAC Day Snow Days are NOT included in full time
registration. 

SNOW DAY FEES:
$25 per child (there is no additional child discount)

It is important that if your child is sick, you keep them at home. We prioritize the health and well-being of all participants in the Trustworthy Afterschool Care. If your child is not feeling well, we kindly request that you do not bring them to the program.

It is crucial to prevent the spread of any contagious illnesses to other children and staff members. Please notify us as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend due to sickness. While we do not provide refunds for missed Trust Days, we appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone safe and healthy.
